SECURINT is a research project on EU internal security governance of the Marie Curie Chair of Excellence of Professor Jörg MONAR at the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg.
The project is funded by the European Union as a Marie Curie Action in the context of its Sixth Framework Programme for Research. Its objectives are the analysis and evaluation of EU governance concepts, instruments, trends and deficits in the domain of internal security, with a particular focus on the challenges of terrorism, organised crime and illegal immigration. Besides providing a framework for research involving a number of doctoral students, SECURINT also comprises a range of conference, research training and public debate activities as well as the creation of a data-base and documentation centre.
